Fundamentals
Midday Gi and No-Gi classes built for newer students. Learn the core positions, escapes, and submissions every grappler needs.
Comprehensive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction combining sport technique with reality-based self-defense grounded in law enforcement and military applications. Morning, midday, and evening classes in the Gi and No-Gi.
The program
Our adult program is for anyone who wants to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu the right way, whether your goal is self-defense, competition prep, or a great workout. Classes are taught by black belt coaches with backgrounds in MMA, folk-style wrestling, Army combatives, and law enforcement.
Who is teaching changes how the class is built. Mike Powell uses games and constraints. Mitch Alley is drill focused: you learn a technique and repeat it with a partner. New students build a foundation in fundamentals classes. Experienced grapplers sharpen their game in the evening Gi and No-Gi classes.
The room is open and positive. Nobody is there to hurt you, and you control the intensity of your own training.
Class types
Midday Gi and No-Gi classes built for newer students. Learn the core positions, escapes, and submissions every grappler needs.
Evening classes in the traditional uniform. Grips on the collar and sleeves open up chokes, sweeps, and control you can't use without the jacket.
Evening classes in a rash guard and shorts. A faster pace that carries over directly to wrestling, MMA, and self-defense. More on No-Gi.
Early classes with Coach Ramsey Nimer for anyone who trains before work.
Unstructured rounds and extra drilling on Friday night and Sunday morning. Open mat details.
One-on-one time with a coach to fix a specific problem, prepare for a tournament, or speed up your progress.
